Located just off Moonta’s heritage main street, Henry on Yorkes is a bed & breakfast full of character and charm. Originally built in Moonta’s mining heyday during the mid-1800’s, Henry on Yorkes Bed & Breakfast is located in a former horse stables.

While still retaining heritage character and features, it is now renovated bed & breakfast accommodation sleeping up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms (queen & bunk bed). There is one main bathroom with a shower & toilet. All linen, bedding and towels are provided for your stay.

The living area is comprised of an open plan lounge, dining & kitchen with reverse cycle air-conditioning in the lounge room, plus a television & BluRay player. There is also a iPod docking station with adaptors and board games.

The kitchen is small with a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is no oven or cooktop at Henry On Yorkes B&B.  Breakfast provisions (toast pack) are provided in the room (please note provisions are subject to change, pending availability of items).

The rear patio area is small but enclosed, with outdoor seating and a hooded gas barbecue. Sorry, Henry on Yorkes B&B is not a pet-friendly holiday rental.

There is no off-street parking, but parking is available along the street in Henry Street just by the accommodation. Moonta’s main street shopping precinct is at your doorstep.

If you're looking for breakfast options, Taste The Yorke is right on your doorstep with a wide breakfast menu to choose from.

Moonta has a range of dining options from restaurants to casual cafes and healthy choices; plus, boutique shopping ranging from antiques and florists to books, clothing and footwear.

About Moonta

Moonta was once the centre of the copper mining universe in the 1860's, and the area is steeped in Cornish heritage and is still a thriving popular holiday spot on the Yorke Peninsula.

Moonta is one of 3 Copper Coast towns that are host to the Kernewek Lowender Cornish Festival held every 2 years during May (in odd-numbered years).  This festival is the largest Cornish Festival in the world.

The historic Moonta Mines Museum and the Sweets Shop is a must for all visitors.  The tourist train will take you around the Moonta Mines State Heritage Area on weekends - a fun thing for families to do.

If history and heritage is not your thing, relax on the white sandy beaches or fish from the jetties at Moonta Bay or nearby Port Hughes - you are bound to catch something, or you could book to go out with a Yorke Peninsula local on a fishing charter.

For something a little bit different visit the award winning Ducatoon Park horse stud just outside Moonta, on the Kadina Road.  Moonta has a large supermarket, antiques stores and a variety of retail shops. Moonta is approximately a 1 ½ hour drive from Adelaide.
