South Shores is a beachfront holiday house at Port Hughes with big living areas and so close to the beach. This executive well-furnished accommodation house offers fantastic views of the Port Hughes white sandy beach and jetty and is ideal for large families or groups

Offering 5 bedrooms with 4 queen size beds and 2 bunk beds, two bathrooms (one ensuite) (no bath) plus four toilets. The upstairs master bedroom has an ensuite. Pillows and quilts are supplied; bring all of your own linen. Optional linen hire available for the duration of stay.

Two television viewing areas with leather lounges, Wi-Fi available for guest use.  Large upstairs executive kitchen/dining/lounge with dishwasher and 180 degree sea views. Reverse cycle split system air-conditioning upstairs & down. 

Laundry with front load washing machine and hooded barbecue in the secure side yard. Double remote car garage with room for four cars off the street.

A 2 minute walk to a white sandy beach (just across the road) and 5 minute walk to The Dunes Greg Norman Port Hughes golf course. Sorry, pets not permitted.

Refundable Bonds

Security Bond

  • A refundable security bond may be payable for a property; a bond may also be required in lieu of credit card details for security prior to obtaining key details.

Pet Bond

  • At a pet friendly property, a minimum $100 refundable pet bond is to be paid (refer to Terms & Conditions).
  • If an online booking has been made & Country Getaways has been advised that you are bringing a dog, you authorise that the $100 refundable pet bond is processed to the card used for the booking transaction.

Long Weekends, SA Schoolies & Peak Season Bonds

For any bookings on long weekends, SA schoolies & peak season; a $250 refundable security bond is to be paid by credit card prior to obtaining key access details (not applicable when a property bond is already in place).

Debit Cards

Please note for any reservations where a debit card is used as a form of payment, a $250 refundable security bond must be paid.

Refundable bonds are only to be processed to a credit card.

The property cleaner will advise the bond status following your departure, and your bond less any debits, will be refunded within 14 business days of your date of departure via the method paid.

Port Hughes is one of the prettiest northern beaches on Yorke Peninsula, and is located in the Copper Coast area on the western coastline of the peninsula.

The jetty is popular to fish from – you can expect to catch squid and tommies all year around.

Feeling hungry?...head to the Tavern located right by the jetty, enjoy the fresh seafood and admire the view of the boats going out for their daily catch.

The Port Hughes General Store is next to the Tavern and has basic supplies, fuel and takeaway meals; and is also well known for it's Big Beach Brekky, served in a frypan.

On the southern side of the township is a housing development which includes the Greg Norman designed PGA-standard  golf course - The Dunes Port Hughes.  If you are a serious golfer, you can join Copper Club or take lessons with a golf-pro. For an after-game drink or meal, drop in at The Deck Bar & Cafe.

Port Hughes provides a variety of accommodation, from budget to executive, all within a short walking distance to the beach and facilities.

Located just a 5 minute drive away is Moonta, which is the service centre for Port Hughes and Moonta Bay. Services and shops including a large supermarket, butcher, chemist, bakery, hardware store, antique shops and more can all be found here.

Port Hughes is located approximately 2 hours from Adelaide.
