Te Taha Moana - By The Beach

Less than 15 minutes walk from the beach, Te Taha Moana – By The Beach is a single-level pet friendly holiday house with everything needed for a Yorke Peninsula holiday.

Te Taha Moana – By The Beach has 4 bedrooms – queen, queen, 2 singles, bunk; sleeping up to 8 people. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.

There are 2 bathrooms at the accommodation with an ensuite bathroom adjoining the master queen bedroom, with a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. The main bathroom has a walk-in shower and vanity, and a separate toilet.

The master bedroom and lounge room have reverse cycle split system air-conditioning, and there is a pedestal fan for guests to use throughout the house.

Te Taha Moana – By The Beach has a spacious central living area with lounge room, kitchen and dining and direct access to the rear deck, entertaining area and backyard.

The large lounge room has sofa seating, board games, books and complimentary WiFi is available for guests.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove and cooktop, microwave, filtered water, dishwasher, coffee machine (guests need to bring Nespresso-compatible pods), medium-sized fridge/freezer; and small kitchen appliances including kettle, toaster and sandwich press.

Guests staying at Te Taha Moana – By The Beach have access to full laundry facilities, with a front load washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, ironing board and clothesline in the rear yard.

The undercover dining area is on the rear deck, with access from the kitchen and dining spaces, and has outdoor seating and dining, with a flat plate gas barbecue.

The fully fenced rear yard is perfect for families and furry friends, and there is an outdoor shower for washing off sand after a day at the beach. Pets are welcome inside at Te Taha Moana – By The Beach by prior arrangement, just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.

For those coming to fish, there are fish cleaning facilities and off-street parking in the secure fenced yard for a boat; and the Port Hughes boat ramp is just a short driveaway for launching a boat or joining a fishing charter.

There is off-street parking at the rear for up to 2 cars, with space at the front of the house for another vehicle.

From the holiday house it's just a short drive into Moonta for shopping needs including a supermarket, newsagent, hardware store, chemist, butcher; or a choice of dining options at cafes, restaurants or hotels.

The Moonta Bay jetty, beach, Splash Town water park and dining precinct are a short drive away, or head south to Port Hughes to the tavern, jetty and boat ramp.
