The Wallaroo Heritage & Nautical Museum has a wealth of maritime & local history on display, and is located close to the main street of Wallaroo and beach. Tour Guides are available for visiting coaches; and the museum also hosts Ghost Tours by arrangement, through Wallaroo's many historic buildings and sites.
Don't miss George the Giant Squid... his body is 5 feet (1.5 metres) long and with tentacles stretched out reaches a huge 28 foot (8.5 metres) long.
George was found in stomach of a whale over 30 years ago, and was preserved and has been on display in the museum since 1980. Other highlights at the Wallaroo Heritage & Nautical Museum include:
