Coronavirus response and bookings

Country Getaways Holiday Rentals continue to closely follow the advice of the South Australian Government and will continue to accept forward bookings until it is not in our or our community's best interest.

If circumstances change and you are prevented by the Government from travelling to Yorke Peninsula, we will move your dates or allow you a guest credit for a future stay. We won't charge you any fees to do this.

Existing bookings

In most cases, our original terms and conditions and cancellation policy remains unchanged and is now being enforced as anyone is free to travel within South Australia.

If circumstances change and you are prevented from travelling to Yorke Peninsula due to the government directives, we will move your dates or allow you a guest credit for a future stay. We won't charge you any fees. This will apply in instances such as:

  • You are from an area that is in "lock down" that prevents you travelling to Yorke Peninsula.
  • Yorke Peninsula is included in a "lock down" that prevents guest access as stipulated by the South Australian Government.
  • You are, or expect to be, in quarantine or mandatory isolation prior to your arrival date.

In the unlikely event you or we need to cancel your booking, the seasonal tariff applicable at the time of your cancellation will apply for your re-booking at the same property. (eg if you cancel in Peak and travel in Low, the Peak tariff will still apply for that property).

You may be asked for proof of your situation.

In exceptional circumstances and/or hardship we may offer you the opportunity to cancel your booking less your $200 non-refundable deposit, provided we can successfully re-book your dates to another customer.


Our cleaners are taking extra precautions for your safety. Upon your arrival, we suggest you also wipe over frequently touched areas such as remotes, door handles, keysafes, hand railings etc.

We use antibacterial products and these are at the property for your use too.

We offer a no contact check-in process via a keysafe at the property.

Our experienced cleaners will carry out their cleaning processes, however for your own peace of mind, clean things as you see fit.

We provide you with basic cleaning products to maintain the property whilst you are there. All properties have a mop and bucket, a vacuum cleaner and a washing machine.

Everyone has their own standards and preferred products – if in doubt, bring with you and use the products you are comfortable with.

If you're unwell

We don't want you or any member of your group to feel pressured to travel if you feel there is a chance that you may already be infected with the coronavirus.

If you (or any member of your group) is feeling unwell, please get a Covid-19 test and travel only if you test negative for the virus.

Should you test positive for Covid-19, we will issue you with a guest credit so that you can visit once you recover.

If any tenant has COVID, you have an obligation to advise us of your COVID status. If this changes either during your stay or after your departure, please let us know so we can protect our team.
