Escape to Drift, a spacious and well-appointed single-level holiday house located in Moonta Bay. Perfect for families, groups of friends, or corporate travellers seeking a comfortable base on the Yorke Peninsula, Drift offers a welcoming and convenient retreat close to the coast.

Drift has 3 bedrooms – two with queen beds and one with a double bed – comfortably sleeping up to 6 people. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.

The master queen bedroom features an electric blanket and television (with USB and HDMI ports), and has a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet.

The main bathroom has three-way access and includes a bath and walk-in shower, with a separate vanity for added functionality. A separate toilet is also located nearby, and a hairdryer is provided for guest use.

Drift is kept cool throughout summer with ducted air-conditioning to all rooms, as well as reverse cycle split-system air-conditioning in the living area. Portable heating is also available to keep guests comfortable in the cooler months.

The spacious open-plan living area at Drift includes a lounge room, dining space and fully equipped kitchen, with direct access to the rear outdoor entertaining deck. Relax on the comfortable sofa seating while enjoying the large television with USB ports, soundbar and complimentary WiFi. A selection of board games is also provided for guests during their stay.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stovetop, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine (guests will need to bring Nespresso Vertuo pods), coffee plunger, microwave and a large fridge with freezer. A range of appliances including kettle, toaster, sandwich press, popcorn maker and airfryer are also available for convenient holiday cooking.

An additional media room offers spacious chaise lounge seating and a large television with HDMI port, along with an Xbox games console and controllers for entertainment.

Laundry facilities at the holiday house include a top load washing machine, iron, clothes airer and a pull-up clothesline in the yard.

The outdoor entertaining area at the rear of the accommodation features a deck with patio umbrella, outdoor seating, and a hooded gas barbecue, perfect for relaxed evening meals. A fire pit is available, and guests will need to bring their own wood to use and check fire regulations.

The fully fenced rear yard provides privacy and space for outdoor enjoyment. Additional features include a darts board in the carport, a paddleboard (guests will need to bring their own life jacket to use it), and a fish cleaning sink.

Pets are welcome outside at Drift by prior arrangement with Country Getaways. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.

Parking is available with a single carport space, off-street parking for 2 vehicles behind a fenced area (please note there is steep driveway access), and additional driveway parking for another vehicle.

Drift is conveniently located just a 20-minute walk to the sandy shores of Moonta Bay and a short 3-minute drive to the Moonta Bay jetty precinct and Splash Town water park, which operates seasonally and is a favourite with families.

Guests can also explore the nearby Moonta Mines National Heritage Area, with its historic mining sites, walking trails, museum and tourist train rides offering insight into the region's rich Cornish heritage. The Moonta township is just a few minutes' drive away, where you will find boutique shops, supermarkets, cafes and dining options.
