Hazel Retreat at Moonta Bay is a comfortable single-level holiday house that offers everything needed for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. With spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, this home is well suited for those wanting a convenient base to enjoy a coastal escape in the Copper Coast region.
Hazel Retreat can accommodate up to 7 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults. The 3 bedrooms comprise a king bed, a trio bunk with a double on the bottom and single on the top (top bunk suitable for children only), and a double bed. Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided, and guests can bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea-towels, or choose the optional linen hire option available through the Country Getaways office.
The bathroom has 2-way access and includes a bath, walk-in shower and vanity, with a hairdryer supplied for guest use. There is a separate toilet, plus a second toilet located by the laundry for convenience.
Hazel Retreat has reverse cycle split-system air-conditioning in the living area, master bedroom and trio bedroom, with wall-mounted fans in the double and trio bedrooms.
The spacious open plan living area comprises the lounge, dining and kitchen, with patio access from the lounge room leading to the rear yard. The lounge has comfortable sofa seating, a large television with USB and HDMI ports, BluRay player, plus Wii and PlayStation game consoles for family game nights.
Hazel Retreat has a well-equipped kitchen including an electric oven and stovetop, microwave, coffee plunger and large fridge with freezer on top, along with a range of kitchen appliances such as a kettle, 4-slice toaster, slow cooker, electric frypan and blender.
For longer stays, the laundry at Hazel Retreat is fitted with a top load washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Outside, there is an undercover entertaining area with outdoor seating and dining, plus a gas barbeque with char grill for alfresco cooking. The fenced rear yard has a fire pit with bench seating surrounding it, where guests can relax and enjoy evenings together. Guests need to bring their own firewood and observe local fire regulations.
Pets are welcome inside at Hazel Retreat by prior arrangement with Country Getaways. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.
The holiday house has off-street driveway parking for 2 cars, with street parking for boats and trailers.
Located just a 20-minute walk or a short drive to the Moonta Bay beach, Hazel Retreat is close to all the attractions of this family-friendly destination. The property is within easy reach of the Moonta Bay jetty, Splash Town water park and the popular sandy swimming beaches.
Within a short drive, visitors can explore the heritage charm of Moonta's main street with its cafés, bakeries, hotels and shops, or take in the mining history at the Moonta Mines National Heritage Area. Nearby Port Hughes offers another family-friendly swimming beach and a popular jetty for fishing and crabbing. Further afield, Wallaroo is within a 30-minute drive and offers additional shopping, dining and experiences along the northern Yorke Peninsula coastline.
Hazel Retreat at Moonta Bay is an ideal base to enjoy the many attractions and experiences of Yorke Peninsula, with day trips to Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, Clare Valley or to the Southern Flinders.
