Thistle Do

Located just a 5-minute walk to Moonta Bay's beach, Thistle Do is a compact single level holiday house with games room, large fenced rear yard and off-street parking.

Sleeping up to 6 people, Thistle Do has 3 bedrooms – queen, double, double. Quilts and pillows are provided, but guests will need to bring their linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats & tea-towels) with them for their stay, or linen can be hired through the Country Getaways office.

There is one bathroom at the holiday house with a shower & toilet, and a separate toilet.

In the living area of Thistle Do is evaporative air-conditioning (cool only), reverse cycle split system air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and a combustion heater (guests will need to bring wood with them to use).

All bedrooms have reverse cycle split system air-conditioning, and there is a ceiling fan in the master queen bedroom.

There is a large television and Blu-Ray player in the master bedroom, and televisions (with USB & HDMI ports) in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms.

The lounge room has a large television with USB & HDMI ports, Blu-Ray player, DVD's, board games & books for guests to enjoy during their stay at Thistle Do.

Thistle Do has a well-equipped kitchen with an electric stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, bar fridge, and medium sized fridge/freezer.

In the laundry is a top load washing machine, clothes dryer, iron & ironing board, and in the rear yard is a clothesline.

The undercover entertaining area at the back of the house overlooks the rear yard, with dining & seating for guests and a hooded gas barbecue.

The rear yard is fenced, with lawned areas at the front and rear of the house.

There are fish cleaning facilities for those coming to fish from one of the nearby jetties, or if launching a boat from the Port Hughes boat ramp which is just a 5 minutes' drive away.

Pets are welcome inside at Thistle Do by prior arrangement with Country Getaways. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.

There is off-street driveway parking for up to 2 cars, with room for a boat.

The Moonta Bay jetty, beach & Splash Town water park (seasonal opening times) are located within easy walking distance from Thistle Do.

Just a short drive away is Port Hughes with the tavern a great spot for meals, or Moonta has a range of dining choice, and excellent shopping options including a supermarket, hardware store, antique, chemist, boutiques and much more.
