Cosy Cottage is a welcoming and comfortable holiday home perfectly positioned in the heart of Port Broughton, offering a relaxed coastal escape for families, couples and small groups. Just a short stroll from the foreshore and town centre, Cosy Cottage combines convenience, comfort and family-friendly features, making it an ideal base for enjoying all that this popular seaside destination has to offer.

Sleeping up to 8 guests, Cosy Cottage features 2 bedrooms comprising a queen bed in the main bedroom, with a double bed and bunk bed in the second bedroom; plus additional sleeping available in the living area with a comfortable Ecosa Nimble convertible lounge and sofa bed, which can be configured as either a king bed or 2 single beds. Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided; however, guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea-towels; or optional linen hire is available through the Country Getaways office.

The bathroom at Cosy Cottage includes a shower over a toddler bath, vanity and toilet, with an access rail provided in the shower area for additional support. An additional toilet is conveniently located outside the home.

For year-round comfort, Cosy Cottage offers reverse cycle split-system air-conditioning in the lounge room, while a wood combustion heater provides a cosy atmosphere during cooler months, with guests required to bring their own firewood for use.

The open plan living area combines the lounge room and dining space, with an adjacent fully equipped kitchen creating a welcoming hub for relaxing and spending time together. Guests can enjoy chaise lounge seating, a smart television, complimentary WiFi access and a selection of board games. The large dining table provides ample space for meals and is also suitable for remote working.

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stovetop, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and medium-sized refrigerator with freezer. Additional appliances include a kettle, 4-slice toaster, sandwich press and rice maker. Coffee and tea making facilities are provided, including a selection of gourmet teas, while a bistro seating area offers a cosy spot to enjoy a morning coffee. A picnic set is also available for guests wishing to explore the local area.

Laundry facilities are located in the external laundry and include a top-load washing machine, iron, ironing board and rotary clothesline for added convenience during longer stays.

Outside, Cosy Cottage offers plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining with several seating areas. The undercover entertaining area features outdoor dining seating and an electric kettle barbecue, while the fenced rear yard provides a secure space for children to play. Guests can enjoy the lawned area, tree swing and shaded seating area complete with umbrella. A fire pit built into the outdoor coffee table creates the perfect setting for evening gatherings, with guests required to bring their own firewood and observe local fire regulations.

The holiday home has off-street driveway parking available for 1 vehicle, with additional street parking in front of the house for up to 2 vehicles.

Pets are welcome outside and within the external laundry at Cosy Cottage by prior arrangement with Country Getaways. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.

Cosy Cottage enjoys an excellent location just a 3-minute walk from the Port Broughton foreshore, approximately 200 metres away, where guests can enjoy fishing, crabbing, boating and scenic waterfront walks. The town's main street, shopping facilities, café and bakery, hotels and dining options are only a 5-minute walk from the property, allowing guests to leave the car behind and explore the town with ease.

About Port Broughton

Port Broughton is ideally located in the northern Yorke Peninsula and is a popular starting point for a range of holiday adventures.

With its close proximity to the Copper Coast towns of Moonta Bay, Kadina and Wallaroo, and nearby southern Flinders Ranges, and Clare Valley wineries within easy driving distance, Port Broughton is a great destination for your next Yorke Peninsula stay.

The waters off the town are popular for fishing, with a long T-shaped jetty and excellent boat launching facilities. It's also a popular sailing spot, and has its own sailing club.  The 9-hole golf course with year-round watered greens is popular with golfers both local & visiting.

Dining choices are plentiful in Port Broughton with 2 hotels, a club and several cafes and eateries in the town, popular Palate 2 Palate restaurant.

As you would expect crabs, oysters and King George whiting taste as if they were straight off the boat – why not stop off at Grandax to purchase local crab meat and other seafood.

Port Broughton also has a chemist, supermarket, newsagency and bakery.

Nearby Fisherman Bay is just a short drive to the north of Port Broughton. This area is aptly named and a popular fishing and holiday spot.
