Retreat on Timaru is a spacious and modern two-storey holiday home located in North Beach Wallaroo, offering a relaxing getaway just moments from the sand and sea. With quality features across two levels and a wide range of indoor and outdoor entertaining options for families and groups, Retreat on Timaru is the perfect coastal escape.

Retreat on Timaru offers 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 12 guests across the two levels. The master bedroom upstairs features a king bed and wall-mounted television with a soundbar, along with an ensuite bathroom for privacy and comfort. The other bedrooms are located downstairs and include two queen bedrooms, both with wall-mounted televisions, and a bedroom with a 2 trio bunks, offering double beds on the bottom and singles on top.

Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided, and guests can bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea-towels or optional linen hire is available through the Country Getaways office.

There are 2 bathrooms at Retreat on Timaru, including the upstairs ensuite with walk-in shower, vanity and toilet, plus a separate toilet on the upper level. The downstairs main bathroom has 3-way access with a bath and walk-in shower, separate toilet and separate vanity, making it ideal for groups and families. A hairdryer is also provided.

For year-round comfort, the holiday house has ducted air-conditioning throughout, and ceiling fans are located in all bedrooms and in the games room.

The open plan upstairs living area features a lounge, kitchen and dining space with balcony access to the outdoor entertaining area. Guests can relax in the upstairs lounge on the Italian leather lounge with electric recliners and reading lights, while enjoying the Dimplex electric fireplace, large wall-mounted television with sound system, stereo, radio and speaker. Boardgames and WiFi are available for guest use, offering plenty of entertainment options.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stovetop and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, De'Longhi coffee pod machine (guests to bring Nespresso-compatible capsules or purchase locally), a coffee machine for use with whole beans, and a large French Door fridge with freezer. A range of kitchen appliances are available including kettle, toaster and multicooker. The dining area includes a large dining table with bench seating, and bar stools at the kitchen counter.

The upstairs balcony entertaining area is accessible from both the main living space and the master bedroom, and includes a hanging egg chair, lounge and dining seating, a Weber Q gas barbecue and smoker; with distant sea views of Wallaroo.

Downstairs, a second lounge area features a large corner sofa with electric recliners and chaise, a large television with speaker and soundbar, and a PlayStation 5 console with controllers.

The games room on the ground floor has a range of gaming options including a Pac-man tabletop arcade game, Marvel pinball, foosball table, air hockey table and more for guests to enjoy.

A front load washing machine is provided, along with an iron, ironing board and clothes airer for laundry needs.

Outside, Retreat on Timaru continues to impress with an undercover rear entertaining deck that includes outdoor dining and seating, a hooded gas barbecue, pizza oven and drinks fridge.

The fenced rear yard offers a large open space with a fire pit and seating (guests to bring own wood and observe fire regulations), Bali hut with lounge seating, basketball court with ring, a 2-person hot rocks sauna and a swim spa.

Pets are welcome at Retreat on Timaru by prior arrangement with Country Getaways, and there are 3 cat or small dog enclosures in the rear yard. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay.

Secure parking is available within the fenced yard for up to 3 cars and a boat, with additional off-street driveway parking for 2 more vehicles.

Located just a 15-minute walk or less than 5-minute drive to the beach, Retreat on Timaru is close to all that North Beach Wallaroo has to offer. Spend your days by the coast or exploring the local area, with Wallaroo's cafes, shops, restaurants and historic attractions all within a short drive. Take a day trip to nearby Kadina or Moonta for more dining and shopping options, or visit the Wallaroo Heritage and Nautical Museum for a taste of the region's maritime history.
