Gilmore Retreat in Wallaroo is a spacious two-storey waterfront holiday house designed for relaxed coastal living, offering comfort, style and modern amenities for families and groups. Gilmore Retreat offers 4 bedrooms, with 3 upstairs bedrooms including 2 queen bedrooms and a bedroom with 2 bunk beds (4 singles), plus a queen bedroom downstairs. The accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests, with a maximum of 8 adults, and top bunks suitable for children only. Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided, and all linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bathmats and tea-towels) is included, but guests will need to bring their own beach towels.
There are 4 bathrooms throughout Gilmore Retreat. The upstairs master queen bedroom has an ensuite with a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. Also upstairs is the main bathroom with a walk-in shower, bath and vanity, along with a separate powder room with vanity and toilet. Downstairs, the main bathroom and semi-ensuite has a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet. Hairdryers are provided in all bathrooms for guest convenience.
All bedrooms at Gilmore Retreat have reverse cycle split-system air-conditioning, and there are additional split-systems in the upstairs lounge room and downstairs living area. Ceiling fans feature in all queen bedrooms, and the master queen bedroom includes a large television with USB and HDMI ports.
The upstairs lounge room offers comfortable sofa seating, a large television, an Xbox 360 console with games, DVDs, board games and puzzles, and access to a balcony with outdoor lounge seating and marina canal views. WiFi is available for guest use during their stay at Gilmore Retreat.
Downstairs, the spacious open plan living area includes a dining space, fully equipped kitchen and lounge room, with direct access to the waterfront outdoor entertaining area.
The kitchen includes a gas stovetop, electric oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and large fridge with bottom freezer. A generous butlers pantry provides additional storage, and guests have access to a range of appliances including kettle, 4-slice toaster, air fryer, sandwich press, blender and food processor. The large dining table and lounge room with sofa seating and a large television create a comfortable area for shared meals and relaxation.
Gilmore Retreat includes European laundry facilities with a front load washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Outside, guests can enjoy the undercover outdoor entertaining area with seating and dining on the balcony, as well as a hooded gas barbeque. The secure yard leads to the marina frontage, where the property features an 8m pontoon with 3 tie-ups, a ladder, power, water and a sensor light.
The holiday house has off-street driveway parking for 3 vehicles, with room for a boat and the Wallaroo boat ramp is only a short drive away.
Gilmore Retreat is ideally located for enjoying the attractions of Wallaroo and the surrounding region. North Beach is only a 5-minute drive away and a 10-minute walk to Coopers Alehouse for dining on the waterfront. Wallaroo offers shopping and dining options within a short drive, with supermarkets, cafés and pubs nearby.
Within an easy drive, guests can explore Kadina's shopping precinct, museums and family activities, as well as Moonta's historic attractions, cafés, coastal experiences and popular fishing spots.
